Embed Live weather radar

Post by ntbrown »

My 14 year old son is an avid weather person. :geek:
He has been working on a local on the 8s emulator for a (home) school project. Has it mostly done, complete with the old narrations of Alan Jackson lol. :bravo:
He is wanting to add a live weather radar map on a slide. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The easy way is to insert a hyperlink to the live display he wants to show.

Is there a "hard way"?

May be your son would be able to ask a more specific question.
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.

I know powerpoint had an add called live web that allowed one to display a live webpage (like a weather radar) right on a slide. Are there any addons for Impress that would do the same?

As I said, a Hyperlink on an Impress slide will do the job. There used be a posting on another site showing how to do this, but the site has now lapsed.

This article may help

Edit: the site listed below, before it lapsed, described use of a hyperlink to insert live data in an Impress presentation. I give the URL so that it might be searched for on a wayback site
