Export - Default format

Post by wendi »

OO 4.1.6; Win10Pro64. When I select File | Export, the default format is always .svg. Is there a way to change this to always open in my preferred format, which currently is .bmp? Thank you.

My opinion:
Do not use .bmp file format. It is a huge size, uncompressed file type from the stone-age of the computer era. The size file size will cause problems, when you insert the picture into another documents.

Use the lossless compressed file formats like the .gif or the .png. (The .svg is a vectorgraphic file type with a blureless, lossless scaling property. The pixelgraphic file types has not such property.)

My tip:
You can write a macro to achieve the custom export. (The macro recorder can not work in the Imprass application.)
