Powerpoint with .wmv inbeded converting and using in Impress

Post by olRustyNut »

I have some powerpoint files that have .wmv format videos inbeded. I can convert the PP file to Impress but the video will not activate in impress. Is there a way to convert these videos to be used in Impress along with the presentation?

Perhaps easier to download the Powerpoint viewer from the MS site.

Tried loading viewer and using it. The PP viewer does not work either. What's the hard way?

Well, if a Microsoft software does not work, you should go to a Microsoft forum to got help.

Ok Folks,
Here's the situation- I am so tired of Microsoft changing their formats requiring me to buy another version of the software I already have. I don't know about you but I can't afford this corp. gouging every two of three years.
So...Am I to assume Ipresss cannot be used to run inbeded videos or is it just inbeded .wmv formats that cannot be run? Please don't let my disgust with Micro soft influence your response. I appreciate your time. Thank you.
