I've found that one: Hyperlinks do not open consistently in slide show mode.

I can set hyperlinks to presentations but they are opened in edit mode. Try to install the ImpressRunner extension, it is to start automatically presentation in slideshow.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

It's an extension so you can install it, even under Ubuntu (I did it when I was running the 2.x version!).

Download the file .oxt, open OOo, go to Tools>Extension manager, click the Add button, browse your HD until you find that file and double-click.

No, we can't write in French, thanks, because this is an English speaking forum so if we want all the users to understand the threads, we can't use another language (it would become quickly unreadable).

Well, I just tried and installed the extension, then added the 'autostart' string in the first user defined field (File>Properties>User defined> Info 1) for 2 presentations (.odp). Then created a hyperlink from the first one to the 2nd one. Closed OOo, double-clicked the first presentation, it opens fine in slideshow mode directly, then clicked the hyperlink and it also opens fine the 2nd presentation. The only minor issue I see is that when I close the 2nd presentation, it go to the edit mode instead of closing it definitively.

Do you manage to create a hyperlink from one file to the other? Your last post is not that clear.

Have you put the 'autostart' string in the user field? Is it a .odp file?

Indeed, that's a bug: Issue 83887 - Show slide ,the hyperlink button does not work.

I fear that you've to do without the push button!

Don't use the push button, it can't work. Use standard links instead.

NB: haven't you forgotten to upload the file in your previous post?

I've seen that also. But I don't know how to close completely the target presentation so that it comes back to the first one without entering the edit mode for the 2nd one. You should leave a comment in the ImpressRunner extension feedback.

The max file for the forum is 128kB. You can use file sharing web site like mediafire. I don't reply such question by mail anyway (else, it would not be a forum!). Anyway, time to go to bed for me, good luck!

For the record, a macro has been made for a similar question, perhaps it will help for your next show: Autoclosing OOo after presentation.

Re: [Solved] Hyperlink opening another presentation

Hello,
I want to make 2 presentations, the one hyperlink to the other.
Ok, this is easy, i made it and works.
BUT:
When i push the batton to MOVE FROM THE ONE PRESENTATION to the other, it moves but NOT as CONTINUED slideshow. The hyperlinked presentation opens as new OPEN OFFICE window.
Is there a way to hyperlink from one presentation to another in CONTINUES SLIDESHOW MODE?
(In Powerpoint it does, but i can not find a way in Open Office).
I will appreciate your help.
