Please reread these two messages from Villeroy, point by point. And just do it. Try it at least. These thirty clicks will not take you much time (actually less, but at first you will make mistakes and make extra clicks). Just try it. Please!

Don't you guys realise this thread was started in 2013??? Whatever it was I was trying to do then is long forgotten and long gone!

A few passing remarks:

• I have since sort-of worked out how to first record a macro and then edit it to work properly (in some very simple cases).
• I have learned not to bother in the main, unlike how I used to use M$ Word.
• I will not agree that one should need to be adept/comfortable with programming to be able to use macros. Recording macros "just works" in M$ Word, and many other programs with macro recording facilities. I have no problem with there being an API, just don't call it a macro system 'cos it isn't.

Yes, the Application Programming is more than a simple macro system.
