[Solved] Dialog boxes hidden/missing

Post by PeteS »

OO Writer dialog boxes Format/Paragraph and Format/Bullets don't appear. Instead, Writer 'locks up' - try to do anything and all I get is a 'ping'. (Dialog Boxes are modal?) Only way out sems to be Alt-F4, presumably closing the invisible dialog box.

System is OO3.1.1 Windoze Vista HP, dual monitors.

I suspect OO Writer is confused about which monitor is where. I changed the setup around a few times before settling on a good layout. But I've tried all the monitor layouts and still can't see the dialogue boxes!

Sugestions please?

With the dialog box open, press ALT + SPACEBAR to open the dialog's menu. Select Move then use the arrow keys to move the dialog box.

Thanks, Bill - the dialog boxes were way off to the right of my right-hand monitor! Now back on screen
