Opening an OOW document to begin work on the opening paragraphs has been made impossible due to an advertisement appearing in the upper left corner that I cannot change or remove. LibreOffice Writer did the same thing for me, so it's not just an OOW problem. In Chrome and Thunderbird, I don't see this feature.
My PC was scanned with Malwarebytes after I installed the program (Windows 10). My guess is that Microsoft's Defender software is running as well, although I don't know for sure Nothing needs to be quarantined in any case. What should I do to get rid of it?

When you say "Advertisement", what does it advertise? Or do you simply mean an intrusive image of some sort?
