[Solved] Running OpenOffice extensions difficult. Part1

Post by Win,odd Dhamnekar »

I downloaded and installed CmathOOoCAS,stattool,clc09-1.5.3, statisticaldataanalyzerforoocalc,chemdictooo,Obba,dict-en(all with.oxt). But now, extension manager shows only 3 extensions. When i starts to remove the existing extensions or install any extensions which do not appear in the extension manager window, extension manager prohibits it which can be seen from attached files. When i open openoffice application, it fails to open the open office calc, says your file yet to be recovered. I have jdk 15.0 installed to run Obba.oxt

How to overcome this problems?

The most of extensions are third party softwares. Try to ask the developers or the publishers.

chemdictooo:
https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/pr ... dictionary
It is a 9 years old extension developed for the 3.x.x versions of the OpenOffice. Maybe it is not compatible with the 4.x.x versions and with the LibreOffice.

clc09-1.5.3:
https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/pr ... ickformule
The latest version of this extension is 10 years old. It was developed for the OpenOffice.org (!!!). Maybe it is not compatible with the 4.x.x versions of the Apache OpenOffice and with the LibreOffice.
There is an email address on the download page to ask your question.

statisticaldataanalyzerforoocalc:
https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/node/4785/releases
The only one existing version is 9 years old. Maybe it is not compatible with the 4.x.x versions and with the LibreOffice.

CmathOOoCAS, CmathOOo
https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/node/3231/releases
https://extensions.openoffice.org/fr/node/2479/releases
The CmathOOoCAS is 9 years old, and the CmathOOo is 7 years old. Maybe it is not compatible with the 4.x.x versions of the Apache OpenOffice and with the LibreOffice.

Do you have 32 bit java? (Because the AOO is 32 bit application.)

https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/node/1426/releases
It seems that the Obba is compatible with the AOO 4.1.x (But i never used it.)

Hello,
My Java version 15.0.1 64- Bit Server VM. My Windows 10 is 64-Bit. How to know that AOO installed is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Only the LibreOffice has 64 bit and 32 bit versions for Windows. The AOO has 32 bit version only.
