[Solved] Deactivate "autocomplete" on everything

Post by braxx20 »

I have two problems:
1: I would like to deactivate 'autocomplete" on everything.
2: Some of the cell boundries or boxes are colored in red. I don't now why. There is also a blue line running down the sheet near the midpoint of it.
I just want an black lines on the spreadsheet
Thanks

Edit: Changed subject, was Sheet format

I will guess that you mean AutoCorrect. For AutoComplete see Help → Index → AutoComplete function in text and list boxes.

For Calc:
Tools → AutoCorrect Options → Options (uncheck everything)
Tools → AutoCorrect Options → Localized Options (uncheck everything)
Tools → Cell Contents → AutoInput (uncheck)

For Writer:
Format → Autocorrect → While Typing (uncheck)
Format → Autocorrect → Autocorrect Options → Options (uncheck everything)
Format → Autocorrect → Autocorrect Options → Localized Options (uncheck everything)
Format → Autocorrect → Autocorrect Options → Word Completion (uncheck everything)
Use menu OpenOffice.org → Preferences (on a Mac) or Tools → Options (non-Mac)
Writer → Table → Number recognition (uncheck)
Language Settings → Writing Aids → Options (uncheck everything)

Calc and Writer will use these AutoCorrect settings for all other documents you create or open.

You are more likely to get this solved quickly when you attach a spreadsheet document demonstrating the difficulty (remove confidential information then use Post Reply, not Quick Reply, and don't attach a picture instead of the spreadsheet itself). I will not help further unless you attach.

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the Subject field. Select the green checkmark icon at the same time.
