OnlyOffice Calc: how to hide the left "toolbar"?

Post by JohnRob »

I have a newly installed OnlyOffice 7.2 and am using Calc V7.2.0.204

I would like to hide the "toolbar" on the left of the window. It contains:
-- Search
-- comments
-- spell check
-- feedback

I've been unable to find any settings, click button, drag capability. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW so far I like OOC (haven't tried writer). It seems more intuitive to me than libreoffice (which may or may not be good for others). I'm trying to ween myself off MS Office (except for Outlook) after many years of corporate use. At the moment MS Office is on my computer (legally) but every time I try to make a chart the a*** at Microsoft have taken a reasonably usable product and bloated it with less intuitive tools while making the function absolutely NO better.

Unfortunately OnlyOffice is not OpenOffice and it is extremely unlikely that anyone here is familiar with it. You might see if the OnlyOffice spreadsheet documentation is any help.

There is also https://forum.onlyoffice.com/

This is a forum related to the StarOffice - OpenOffice.org - OracleOpenOffice - Apache OpenOffice - LibreOffice softwares.

Maybe your office suite is similar to these softwares, maybe is not. Maybe that was created based on same source code, maybe was not.

Please ask the developers/users of that office suite.

Please, edit the initial post in the topic: add the word [Solved] at the beginning of the subject line - if your problem has been solved.

My bad. I didn't realize there were two suites with nearly the same name.
Thank you for your response.

A YouTube video about OnlyOffice shows a ribbon-like interface which is probably why you find it more "intuitive" than AOO or LO. However, it doesn't appear to have any obvious "View" settings. Try a Google search for "OnlyOffice view settings".
