When using Ctrl+Backspace to delete last word, the caret moves up to the word before the one being deleted.
In MS Word and Libre Writer, the caret moves up to the white space after that word.
When typing fast, the OO behaviour can be a bit uncomfortable.
Any solutions to this?

Re: Delete whole word
I can’t confirm. The behavior is the same in AOO/LO. Perhaps, this depends on the graphic environment.
AOO 4.2.0 (of 2015) / LO 7.x / Win 7 / openSUSE Linux Leap 15.4 (64-bit)
Re: Delete whole word
I do see the unexpected behavior on my Linux Mint that is based on Ubuntu 18. I do not see it on Windows 10. The Windows system is running OpenOffice 4.2 (not released) but I cannot believe anyone touched the code for CTRL + Backspace command.

Re: Delete whole word
On my xubuntu 19.10 machine with AOO 4.1.7 it deletes the last word and the caret also moves to the end of the previous word.
i.e. it deletes the space, I find that standard behavior: if you need to add a punctuation, you don't have to delete again.

On my Xubuntu 18.04.4, with OO 4.1.7, it deletes the word and moves to the space following the previous word (i.e., it leaves the space).

Re: [Issue] Delete whole word
The standard behavior on both Linux and Windows, in almost all text or word processors, is that Ctr+Backspace "deletes to the start of previous word."
In recent LibreOffice releases this behavour has been solved and OO needs to solve this also, not the least because that OO Writer and Calc are much better software than Libre and the "die hards" who choose OO over MSo or Libre, are picky about standards ...
