[Solved] OpenOffice defaults to the wrong printer
[Solved] OpenOffice defaults to the wrong printer
Updated to MacOS 12.2.1, since then Open Office defaults to the wrong printer. System has a default printer, all other applications default to that one, OpenOffice used to default to that one also. Now it defaults to my label printer. I can select the correct printer each time...when I remember...been wasting lots of labels when I forget. I've looked everywhere to change to default printer universally within OpenOffice to fix this, but I only see where to set the printer within each document. Tedious, and not how it used to be.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
Or try the other print dialog as discussed in [Tutorial] Mac FAQ Q35/A35.
Q28: How do I use the Guest User account to run a test?
If printing is OK on the Guest User, sign off the Guest User, sign back on to your usual account, and reset your profile.
Q02: How do I create a new profile on a Mac?

If those ideas don't help, can you reproduce the problem on the Guest User?Helene730 wrote:Tedious, and not how it used to be.

Unless printing labels is something you do every few hours, disable the label printer when not in use. Unplug its data cable or power it off.Helene730 wrote:been wasting lots of labels when I forget

Re: OpenOffice defaults to the wrong printer
Tried different solutions listed above. What did it is deleting the driver which looks like it was corrupted. Works fine now. Thanks for your suggestions!
