[Solved] AOO crashes on OSX 10.15.3; Worked last week

I have
AOO 4.1.11 running on OSX 10.15.3

I have not updated anything in the last week and suddenly AOO will not open. When I go to "Force Quit", the system tells me the program is not responding. I uninstalled and re-installed, same error. I used this program last week and it worked fine.

I see recently another user reported the same error and was told to run in safe mode but still OO does not work for them.

Whether it works or not for them, does it work for you? There are many reasons for crashes, and the solutions may differ from user to user.

Surely the first thing to do is reboot your computer. Try that. This will correct the "Program not responding" situation. Perhaps it will clear the condition that is preventing AOO from starting as it did last week.

I uninstalled and re-installed, same error.

That exercise is almost always a waste of your time, but it doesn't hurt. I suggest you see if you can reproduce the problem on the Guest User account.

I do not experience this problem. Read these posts about similar difficulties. Perhaps one will match your symptoms. Review [Tutorial] Mac FAQ, especially Q02/A02. If you solve the problem, I am interested in how you did that so I can update Mac FAQ. Word processor (Pages), spreadsheet (Numbers), and presentation (Keynote) applications come pre-installed from Apple on your Mac. You can use them if you are having trouble with OpenOffice. See Mac FAQ Q59/A59. You could also try LibreOffice, which is similar to OpenOffice in many ways.

Hi thank you. The first reboot did not help,
I re-installed, still did not work.
I re-booted again and then it worked.

Thank you
