Blurred image, general graphic interface much inferior to MS

Post by Haizen007 »

I decided to return to OpenOffice after so many years and after just installing it the graphic quality is so bad, looks like "windows XP before your VGA driver has been installed".
I'm running it on Windows 10, everything else runs normally, only OpenOffice is different.

Is it possible to solve it or I should just return to Microsoft Office instead?
Thanks!

In OpenOffice, select /Tools /Options /OpenOffice /View, and at the top right of that window uncheck "Use Hardware Acceleration" and "Use Anti-Aliasing"

Do these one at a time, and close/restart OpenOffice after each such change to be certain the change takes. I think Anti-Aliasing might be the culprit, but there are four possible combinations; you may need to try them all. OO will remember the setting.

This is commonly caused by scaling on high DPI monitors. Using the forum search box, I found this:

AOO 4.1.14 on Ubuntu MATE 22.04
