Shortcuts to promote/demote chapters in Navigator

The question is pretty easy. With Navigator, we can quickly move chapters up and down, and also change their level, by pressing buttons, like shown is sceenshot. But is there keyboard shortcuts for this? I tried different combinations of Ctrl/Alt/Shift + Up/Down/Left/Right. Strange, but doesn't work...

Re: Table row across pages

Hi, Erbsenzahl!

If I understand you correctly, your suggestion is about putting table inside the frame? So, the frame will stay on the page and will not move anywhere.

From my point of view, it's not very suitable for large tables. Please, correct me if I misunderstood your idea )

Table row across pages

There is a simple example: table1.PNG In OO/LO, when the row is breaked across pages, it could be easily confused with two separate rows. The only workarounds I found myself are: 1. Uncheck "Allow row to break across pages and colums" (note: this workaround will not work in case if column ...

Re: How to rename a reference?

When one restarts OO after installation (I haven't tried without a restart), in Writer there is a little floating toolbar called XRefM. Yes, many extesnsions have such floating toolbars. This one wasn't shown for me, probably because I launched it on LO. (For me, some OO extensions works on Libre t...

After a bit of searching, I discovered this extension: https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/reference-manager Probably it could do such renamings, but I'm not sure. I haven't found any GUI, so if you want to try it, you should launch it's macros manually (Tools > Macros > Run). If someone ha...

[Solved] LibreOffice: Encoding linked plain text files fails

As most people here probably know, there is an option to include linked text files, that is: 1. Place the cursor in the document where you want to insert the file. 2. Choose Insert - Section. 3. Type a name in the New Section box, and then select the Link check box. 4. In the File Name box, type the...

Re: Writer vs Word, who comes out the better choice?

Even a very basic thing such as text orientation is much better in Word text tables — simply right-click on a cell and you have a context menu to quickly define text rotation (and text alignment too). In Writer, I can’t rotate a cell text by 90 degrees counter-clockwise and keep line wrapping. I at...

Re: Exclude some styles (namely, code blocks) from autocorre

Quotes interact (indirectly) because the exact behavior of the quotes depends on the language being used. By the way, dashes also depends on languages. In some languages, it is common to use n-dashes, whereas in another languages the m-dashes are used. Writer, however, always inserts n-dashes if la...
