Re: Only autocorrect on hyphenated words

Sorry, not that I know of.

Are these hyphenated with a hyphen character, or with a "soft" (discretionary) hyphen?

One approach might be to remove all the hyphens (hard or soft), then allow OO Writer to do its automatic hyphenation.

Re: "--convert-to" works in OpenOffice Windows?

That old thread is slightly wrong. OO only recognizes command line options that start with a single hyphen, -headless; the double-hyphen options are ignored. Libreoffice uses the double hyphen options. But, even using the single hyphen options, OO (both 4.1.3 and 4.1.5) does not work for me. It just...

So, if you do View > Nonprinting characters: ON, each line ends with a paragraph break, ¶, or line break (down+left arrow symbol). Is that right?

Is there any indication in the text of actual paragraph breaks? An empty line, or indented first line?

No apology needed. Good to know it worked for you. The most straightforward plan would be to have the numbering include a line break (Shift+Enter) between the number and the start of the paragraph. If you have formatted the cell as text, then Calc will not recognize the formula when you enter it—it will take it as literal text, and that's all you'll see displayed.

Change the cell format back to "Number/General" or some other numeric-capable format and re-enter the formula.
