You haven't (inadvertently?) placed OpenOffice in full screen mode as mentioned in the link MrProgrammer provided above?

If you have anchored the images to page - which you should only do if you understand the consequences - you will have problems. If the images are anchored otherwise they should move with the text.

Is this what you want? Sheet1 is the source, Sheet2 is the transposed values.
Or this where Sheet2 is the source and Sheet1 is the transposed values.

A (hopefully) repaired document has been sent to OP; the problem was the annotations bug with MS Office documents.
Edit: You might want to look at Using Styles and Templates [PDF] to make production of your document easier. |

If you haven't closed the amended file, you could use repeated Ctrl+Z (Undo) to restore the file to previous states.
Otherwise, if you have enabled backup file using Tools | Options | Load/Save | General you could use that. Last resort [Tutorial] How to find and un-delete AOO/LO temporary files

No - the numbers refer to the amount of compression of the image, from 0, none to 9, maximum amount. Obviously the more the file is compressed, the smaller it will be.2) my Q above is "are the words 'smallest' and 'largest' in the incorrect places? should they be reversed?

Re: Limited space in each document one create?
In computing a k is taken to be 1024 characters Unless you happen to be buying something; manufacturers seem to round the kilobyte and other sizes down. For instance, this from the Kingston website about USB drives: Megabyte (MB) = 1,000,000 bytes; 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,000,000,000 bytes; 1 Terabyte ...

It depends; are you using characters that may require more than one byte per character? Anyway, somewhere on the order of 64000. 64 Kb is of course 64 * 1024 (a Kilobyte).
