I guess that the communal machine has some restrictions for software installation, else, why the hassle?

Using a Gmail address for the forum account? Read this.

Since FEB-2024, Google implemented changes that broke the forum mail system. The consequence is that no mail at all is sent to Gmail accounts by the forum anymore (registration mail and any notification about replies in topics or PM or even mail sent from the forum interface with the contact button)...

Re: Delete blank pages

Set the blank paragraph below the table to font size 2 (the minimum).
Or set the font properties of that blank paragraph to hidden to hide it completely.

Please add [Solved] at the beginning of the title in your first post (top of the topic) with the 🖉 button if your issue has been fixed.

Re: Text produced using OOW does not display using Microsoft WORD

How do you transfer the text exactly? From your machine to the communal one, there must something.
The best would be to export your file as a PDF and then print that file on the communal machine.

Now I need to determine if I want to switch and the impact to the users. Honestly, it's worth the switch. The interface is almost the same but more features in LO. The only attention point would be macros. If you have old macros made in AOO, then they may have to be adjusted because there was a cha...

Please upload a document here so that we see what is wrong with it (see How to attach a document here).

Are you sure that the page is not configured with 3 columns?
The page must be 1 column and then you add a section with 3 columns.

Re: Split large book file into 2 odt files

Not sure printing in mere 2 blocks will do. Because if I understand correctly, it has to be 2 hard cover books, meaning a cover page for both, to have 2 "different" books. A part 1 and a part 2. I think that the question is rather: should the pages in part 2 follow the numbering of the par...

Re: Split large book file into 2 odt files

If there is a page break between the 2 halves, then deleting the first half should not impact the second one. Except for page numbering but it can be fixed with the page style setting.
Try and tell us what remains to be fixed. Do that on a copy of your book of course.

By showing that you don't even remember your own questions and taking no care of where you post, you just make a fool of yourself.
The best way to prevent both of us from wasting more time (despite my providing an answer that was satisfying a couple of years ago) is to ban you.
