Re: Default font size
You should have saved the template in the My Templates folder. When you then select File -> Templates -> Organize, you will see My Templates listed in the left panel. Double click on that and you will see your template in the list. Single click on your template, then click the little arrow next to t...

Re: No windows button on taskbar - unable to freeze rows/columns
The control of freezing or splitting the view of a Calc document is done through the WIndow menu, not a button. Do you not see the Window menu item near the top of the screen?

With a Writer document open, go to the menu Tools -> AutoCorrect Options. On the Localized Options tab, click the Replace box in the Singe Quotes section. That should be all you need to do.

Re: xy Graphs not updating when data changes
I don't know of any way to break the connection between the chart and its data other than copying it, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. Before you rebuild the chart, I suggest you make a simple x-y plot with just one series. Save and close the file, reopen it and see if the data range is still...

Re: xy braphs
The problem is that your graph has lost its connection to the original data set. That is why you see the data table instead of a data range. I believe this can happen when you copy a graph. Did you build the graph on one sheet and then copy it to another sheet?

Re: [Solved] Extract numbers from a string of alphanumeric text
I would break this into three columns. Say your text is in A1. In C1, find the first non-alpha character with =SEARCH("[^[:alpha:]]";A1) In D1, find the first alpha character that is after the non-alpha character =SEARCH("[:alpha:]";A1;C1) In E1, pull the text between those posit...

There is no obvious use for that formula. Besides the broken reference, it is set to return the first column in the reference table, which would just be the value of column A.

I managed to open content.xml and it's a mess. It seems to be only style definitions. I couldn't find any user data, though I was simply scrolling through, so I easily could have missed something. Near the end of the file, it is badly damaged. For example <style:style style:namepable-cell-properties...

When you import the csv, you should see at some point a dialog labeled Import Text. At the bottom of that there is a display of a few rows of data. Re: omit character - read rewrite - extract
The apostrophe is not part of the cell content. It is displayed in the formula bar to indicate that the cell content is text, despite looking like a number. How were these cell value entered? If they were imported from a text (csv) file, you can adjust the import process to avoid the whole problem.

Re: MAX IF: "AND" supported?
Yes, the MIN() function won't work. The formula relies on the fact that TRUE comparisons have a value of 1. When A1:A8 = "A" is true, it gets the value 1 and the same goes for B1:B8 = "". You end up with 1 * 1 * C1:C8 for the rows where both the test conditions are TRUE. A FALSE ...
