Re: Text field formula for odd/even page numbering
The question is, is it possible to adapt a formula from MS Word here. Or is it possible to solve this problem with a macro?

Text field formula for odd/even page numbering
Please help me make a formula for the text field of a page, so that only odd (or even) pages are numbered sequentially, in increments of 1. That is: page 1 - number 1, page 2 - "", page 3 - number 2, page 4 - "", page 5 - number 3, and so on, if you number the odd pages. Sometime...

Calc GETPIVOTDATA through macro
Posted a question on Ask. Maybe someone here can help me, too, who doesn't look there. https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/calc-getpivotdata-through-macro/90758 For those who want a better understanding of the formula GETPIVOTDATA, I uploaded an example (I don't claim authorship, and I forgot the owner's ...

...but is it seems be impossible with string generated as a formula result. Skip it. OP put the question correctly. And it's not really an unnecessary feature. I'm trying to solve the issue on my own. Everything is looked for and colored, but in general the module is not finished, not enough time. ...

Remove the ambiguity in the example. It is unclear how generalized the example is. Give a fragment of real data.

Test. Excel INDIRECT() test to work with named formula expressions fails. It does not work either. The question is closed.

Re: Set cell colors based on dropdown selection
Use my way. @karolus refused to use INDIRECT() because it is volatile (gets updated whenever something changes). But my solution is simpler, and the overhead caused by using INDIRECT() is negligible because you have little data. You cannot use named formula expressions. Only in the way I suggested (...

Re: Set cell colors based on dropdown selection
I just tried to point out that someone who calls himself "Noobian" may not be able to transfer a given solution. Perhaps Noobian in the game, not in Calc. And that's none of our business. I don't play at all. But it was offered quite a ready-made solution. Problems will arise in editing t...

Re: Set cell colors based on dropdown selection
Named ranges can also be created directly in the formula expression, but then it is inconvenient to view and edit it. @Villeroy, as I said above, assuming this was possible, I converted the named range to a named formula expression instead of referring to a range of cells, but this doesn't work in ...

Re: Set cell colors based on dropdown selection
But now you have a working example to investigate on your own. ISNUMBER(MATCH(C6;INDIRECT($B$2);0)) C6 is RC in Excel R1C1 formula syntax (relative notation), which means: in the current R ow of the current C olumn. The difficulty of understanding is exactly that. But $C$6 is really cell C6. But thi...

Named ranges can also be created directly in the formula expression, but then it is inconvenient to view and edit it. However, this is possible if the skill set is fixed (complete list).

Re: Retrieve all data if multiple matches; VLOOKUP?
Try this. I basically solved your problem, although I don't like this solution either. A partial implementation of Excel's FILTER() function is required, so that it spills (fills) the data starting from the top left cell where the "not an array" formula is entered. But no one wants to impl...

I can't get a cell range in the macro by the named range specified by the formula expression (named formula). And everything works well on the sheet.

Re: Calculations and layout in a pivot table - possible?
Can I create my own formula in the Pivot table? Unfortunately, you can't. Formulas should be added to the data source. In MS Excel, you can create calculated fields in the pivot table. Is it possible to name the headlines according to my wishes? There are examples of solving this problem on this fo...

Re: Create two pivot tables from the same source - Possible?
Yes! (But I have no idea how it was solved - I do not succeed myself) Three pivot tables have been added. They are refreshed by a macro on the content change event. Still, there is some problem here. The first two tables act synchronously (linked), and the third works independently . The data sourc...
