I have a document with many fixed date fields (menu Insert/Fields/Date, and/or AutoText from such a field, many with modified format), and other text as well. So I see a date field, "10/18/2012" in my document, and try to search for "10/18/2012", and it says "Search key not found."
So how do I find that date field? Even an OO-basic solution would be ok.
I can copy the whole document to NotePad++ and then find it that way, but that's not acceptable.

Re: Search on fixed date field value?
Interesting. It does look like the contents of fields is excluded from Find & Replace. Too bad. I don't see any workaround for it, short of some kind of macro code.

I noticed that too. Most disturbing with cross-references (text) for example.

Thanks! I definitely like that it has regular expressions. But it is not clear to me how to search for the fixed date field value.
