View entire table in Base

I imported an MS ACCESS database into OOo 3.4.1 that has about 3500 entries. The first thing I noticed when viewing the table in OpenOffice Base is that only the first 122 rows of 3500 are displayed. I often have to search through the table by date and it was pretty convenient in MS ACCESS to have the whole 3500 record table in the view window (with slider bars of course).

To have all 3500 rows available for up/down slider bar searches on a DATE field, I have to force the table in BASE to the last record using the ">|" icon at the bottom of the display window. But, whenever I do a record search (or other operation on the table), the table view resets to only the first 122 rows. So I have to jump the table to the last record over and over while I'm editing it so as to have all rows available for rapid slider bar searching through a DATE field.

Is there any way to have OO BASE display the entire table in the view window without having to jump to the last record over and over again?

It's a known bug. You must not use the search tool. Use filtering instead.
Oh, filtering by dates is broken too.
Well, to be honest: Too many parts of Base are broken and only one person is willing to fix them.

First work-around: Ctrl+PageDown jumps to the last record loading the full record set. Ctrl+PageUp goes back to the first record if you want to search from top to bottom.
The second work-around lets you filter by dates in a form. Search for "power filtering".
