I have been successfully using 3.3.0 to access a spreadsheet on my PC laptop at home. I copied this file to Dropbox so that I would have access to it from my work computer. This also was successful and I have been able to update it for a few months. About two weeks ago I updated to 3.4.1 on my work computer and can no longer open the file without it crashing after about a minute.
This is quite frustrating as I am still able to access it in 3.3.0 at home. Can anyone help me resolve this? Any ideas as to why it will not stay open in 3.4.1?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
Sara

Thank you. I am glad to have found this forum.
I have reset the user profile twice within the past few days week and the file continues to crash within a minute of opening it. Do you have any other recommendations?

Try turning off the automatic update check: Tools > Options > OOo > Online Update > Check Automatically: OFF
If that doesn't help, you can try doing a complete un-install (with registry clean-up) and re-install.
As I gather from other threads, various security/virus-check software can interfere with OOo--even Internet Explorer in some cases.

Since no change when resetting the profile, close AOO (and Quickstarter) and go to the folder $USERPROFILE/3/user/extensions/bundled/ (where $USERPROFILE is the root path to your profile).
Rename the files extensions.pmap and extensions.db. Restart AOO and see if there is any improvement.

Re: Calc doc opens in 3.3.0 but crashes in 3.4.1
I followed your suggestions and the file has not crashed the last two times I have opened it. I will keep checking it over the next few days and inform you if the problem reoccurs, but I believe for now it has been resolved.
Thank you very much.
