[Solved] Dynamic link library MSVCR90.dll missing

Post by timearl »

Hi All,

I've just installed OO on a fresh W2K system(updated to SP4). When I try to start it, I get the same error:

Dynamic link library MSVCR90.dll can't be found in the specified path.

I searched for all MSVCR* files. In the Open Office\Program directory, there are MSVCRT, MSVCR71 and MSVCR80.
In the WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory there are MSVCRT, MSVCR20 and MSVCR40 (all .dll).
There is no MSVCR90 anywhere (I have turned off 'hide system files' etc.).

I renamed the MSVCR20 and MSVCR40 in the WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory and restarted. Still no joy.

Any suggestions, please?

Download it from the net and add it to the OOo folder.
Else, see this query.
